   The following pages illustrate representative examples of flaring and their respective spectral characteristics.
They all have the same Sodium, Potassium, Lithium components, although Lithium is often hidden by the intensity of the first two.   Also, as the fracing fluid begins to reach minimal amounts down-hole, the spectral behavior of that well flare begins to change.  The Sodium, Potassium, and Lithium peaks begin to diminish and "ride on top" of a growing curve indicative of glowing carbon soot.  The last example on this page illustrates the point.
